I'm a maybe, all the way around. My son decided to spring on me that he wants to compete in a tae kwon do tournament the same day. Guess which one takes priority...

bring him in his uniform
StarSapphire

Um, no. It's against proper etiquette rules - you don't wear the uniform unless you plan on doing something representing it. Besides, he always gets too much attention - getting his black belt at 7 means he spends several years at 1st degree before I let him test for 2nd. I'm trying to talk him out of the tournament but if he's dead set on it, the only way we'd join in is for a dinner run... :trust:

he can say what I always say when asked if I have a knife or something...
"when your hands are considered leathal weapons, you don't need such things. Heck I had to take a concealed weapons class just to walk with my hands in my pockets"

Well, poser just got opted out so do we want to move back into the Houston metro area? I'm still on the maybe list due to work issues but moving in closer wouldn't bother me at all. Crawl, you know of a place down your way?:eat:

I'd be up for going into town... Someplace in the Heights might be nice... Any good and fresh pie there?

So, anyone staying in town and want to meet up for food & pie a little later in the day??? :trust:
It looks like we're definitely doing the tournament so Hutto is out for us. We'll probably be done around 2 or so, so maybe a 4:00 p.m. meet up would work???

I've got plumbing issues in the kitchen that have to be dealt with Saturday before any pie so I guess I am out.....maybe some pie late in the day someplace but can't plan on anything officially.

Late in the day is a good thing for us... We won't know exactly how late we'll be at the tournament until we're done... (Read as: the kid tanks :()

Well, play it by ear...
Here are some suggestions, and we're open to others:
Niko Niko's, Baba Yega's, Ruggles on Westheimer, and someone suggested the Daily Review Cafe but I've never been there.

Not going to Hutto?
They're meeting later, like 4pm. I figure if it works out just right, I'll get lunch in Hutto and an early dinner or afternoon snack in Sealy/Houston. :eat:
