Folks this is an interesting link that Oscar has posted above. I wish I would have seen this before I started my own research on Monclova and Cuatrocienegas. If you click on the link, over on the right you will find information in English. Keep in mind the website is from a 2005 event.

One thing that has occurred to me, is that since Cuatrocienegas is only about 1.5 hrs from Monclova, that some folks would probably enjoy staying in Monclova during the evenings to enjoy the nightlife. I will definitely be checking that out on my next trip into Coahila.

Cheers,

Mike

Five CMA members from Corpus Christi attended this event as part of Grumpy's Motorcycle Excursions and we had a great time. I posted a trip report on Triumphrat.net at http://www.triumphrat.net/ride-trip-reports/99310-debacle-in-the-desert-ruta-del-desierto-monclova-mexico.html

We plan to go back next year, but they're talking about changing the date. We're also planning on attending the rally in Ciudad Victoria March 6-8.

We did 3 rallies in Mexico in 2008 and always enjoyed the trips. The Mexican bikers make us feel welcome and appreciated. Show up and find out yourself!
