Grand Dad fell and busted hip and shoulder/passed away 12/12

Howdy,

My Dad's dad fell today. He's 90. He broke his hip and one of his shoulders. He is in the hospital in Houston. My folks are headed down in the morning to see him and get more info. In the meantime, we'd sure appreciate prayers for him. Thanks.

Coy Friday

After a better evaluation, it turns out that the leg break is in the femur and not in the hip. This is a good thing. They evaluated him today to see if they think he can withstand surgery. The plan is to operate tomorrow (Monday). Mom did not say anything about the shoulder break :shrug:

The leg surgery went very well today and only took about 45 minutes! They inserted a rod directly into the femur. Apparently, they can do this with minimal cutting so the recovery should be fairly quick. Not sure how long he will have to stay in the hospital. I think the shoulder is expected to just heal on its own and they will keep an eye on it.
