Howdy,
Well, I could hardly keep my eyes open for the 250 MotoGP race  What I did see was good, rain racing always makes for good excitement. But I can't even remember who won hehe.
The AMA superbike race was cool. Poor Mladin. The man has got to be ticked off. At least this time his tire did not come apart quite so drastically as last time. He got the pit and got a new tire and then worked his way back up to 6th (I think) by the end of the race. Yates was teetering on the edge of disaster the last few laps. With a nice 6 second lead, his tire started to bubble and come apart but he managed to ride it in for the win. Kudos to Miguel for edging out Roberts hehe! Even more Kudos to EBoz for hanging and collecting enough points to put him in the points lead :chug: Wouldn't it be a hoot if the guy on the smallest displacement and oldest bike won the championship!? Anyway, it was a great race with some fun action.
Hats off to Sete Gibernau (sp?)!! That guy is a missle in wet conditions. Watching Biaggi come out onto the main straight chasing Sete was cool. Biaggi's bike was squirming like a stuck pig when he tried putting the power down to slick pavement. Rossi made an early push and then seemed to just settle in for the safe finish. Bayliss came off the Duc once again. He seems to be riding like Xaus was riding last year  He got up to Third ahead of Rossi before tossing it into the gravel. However, he got back up and worked his way back up to the top ten I think. Haga was on the move and got up to fourth or so before he tossed it in the gravel and could not continue. Edwards hung in sixth or seventh most of the race. If Bayliss and Haga had not crashed, he'd have dropped back to ninth or tenth. I was hoping he'd do better because he has won some WSB races in the rain. It was a heck of a race! I can't imagine riding at that level with the heavy spray and slick pavement  I'd like to watch this one again.
The AMA Supersport race was a nail biter! Miguel is da'man! He and Hacking were duking it out like crazy the last couple of laps. I love these races because they are usually so close. There were times where Miguel would lay the bike over into turn one and it was just astounding that the bike did not slide out from under him! I'm amazed at some of the run off areas around the track. It seems you need floaties on your leathers!! What if one of the riders was knocked unconcious and landed in one of those ponds? Strange.
Well, I hope they show the MotoGP and Supersport races again on Tuesday, I definitely want to watch both again.
