Scratched chrome

A friend with a new Harley got a little rambunctious in some tight Arkansas corners this weekend and scratched her new pipes on the pavement :eek: She asked me what she should do to prevent rust, so I decided to throw the question our here. My preferred method of keeping it scratched off with future pavement contact didn't go over too well ;-)

If they're double-walled a trick I learned from a welder is just to rub a little axle grease on the spot. If they're single-walled I believe she's probably SOL. Tell her to wear it with pride. She can be an anti-poser. :chug:
