Maxdale Bridge

Surprised this one hasn't been posted yet... built in 1914 in the now-ghost town of Maxdale (SW of Killeen), it's supposedly "haunted"... must be some disrespectful ghosts because there's litter and graffiti everywhere. This is another one that I was certainly tempted to ride across, twice... hey, I didn't say that I fell to temptation :angel:

paddy3-17 and myself were there this weekend. I will ask to add the pics that he took of the bridge.

I know that in its current state the bridge is unsafe for travel but do you know why was the road originaly shut down?

I'm guessing because of the widened highway and improved continuous bypass.

To top it off the historical marker has been stolen!
