Howdy,

:tab Was watching Two Wheeled Tuesday and saw some kind of funky silver bike in Greg's garage... :P Anyway, they were going over some highlights and showed Josh Hayes duking it out for the lead in a Supersport (I think) race when he nailed a large bird on his right shoulder/neck. The chunks of bird flying in all directions were pretty gruesome  Even with a numbed arm he still clung on to take second place!! Amazing.

:tab Watched the Forumla Extreme race and it was pretty good stuff. Ben Spies was hanging for a long time but near the end just could not seem to get the bike to move like he wanted. I guess his tires were going off. Jake Zemke pulled a great pass on Buckmaster for the lead with a few laps left and never looked back. Although, Buckmaster and Hacking got screwed by lap traffic. Kudos to them for not whining about it after the race though!

:tab Man I cannot wait for Laguna Seca!!

I enjoyed watching the few seconds of Ben Bostrom making points with the umbrella girl.... Really, isn't that racing is all about? ;)

At some level, isn't that what EVERYTHING is all about?

Looked the same when STeve Duncan hit that buzzard in the hills.

That was a pretty good race up to the end when the leaders got trapped in lappers. :| But gotta give Zemke credit for the pass on the last lap.

Perhaps we could think of racing as being an elaborate display of "plumage" - notice how colorful the race bikes, rider's leathers and helmets have become?
