I am selling my 2004 Moto Guzzi Breva 750 to make room for my newer bike. I am the original owner and I purchased this bike new from a dealer in California and is now located in Austin, Texas. It has been stored in garages and I have ridden it gently.

I have a clean Texas title for it and it has been registered until Feb 2010.

It has about 147XX miles on it and has received all of the regular maintenance.
It is a low maintenance bike and a shaft drive that does not need to be oiled. Extras include a tank bag, after-market exhaust (Mistrals which make it sound beautiful but not annoyingly loud), and a center stand.

This bike has a 4.75 gallon tank which includes a 1.3 gallon reserve, electronic fuel injection and has been getting 55+ miles to the gallon.

This bike is an excellent commuter, a great 1st or 2nd bike for learners, or a short-range tourer.

Kelly Blue Book lists this at $5015 but I will consider reasonable offers below that. Please include email/phone number for reply, thank you. Can deliver this bike within the area for a modest fee.

I love my Guzzi's, best of luck with the sale. From your avatar it looks like you picked a heck of a fun bike to replace it with. :rider: Mind if I ask what you paid for your Griso? I would recommend a set of Pastrana bars for it (less than $70) they aren't as wide, have a bit more rise, and the pull back is more natural. Also, be sure to adjust the throttle cables. If mis-adjusted the bike can seem a little rough at lower speeds.

I bought my new 07 Griso from the dealer in Houston in early 2008. It was an end of the year inventory reduction sale so I paid 11k out the door. Is that comparable to your purchase?

Thanks for the tips. I may consider the Pastrana bars down the line as the wider bars are great for cruising and around town riding but if you want to ride a bit more aggressive the Pastranas would make sense. BTW, which model bars did you get? I'm hoping to get some black ones to replace the chrome ones as it would look better too.

The bike has been perfect so far with no significant issues. One of the bolts that attaches to the kick-stand lever did vibrate off and the lever started dragging/dangling but I was able to find a replacement bolt. Everything else has been great.

I bought my bike used with 700 miles on it for $9000 in June of 2008. About $9650 after taxes. The previous owner was a mortage lender & needed to get rid of some toys. I've faced two issues with it.

1) fuel hose inside of tank. It is made of the wrong type of rubber to be submersed in gasoline & can expand eventually coming off the fuel pump. (this is a warranty item from Guzzi & if you got yours from a dealer, I am sure it has been taken care of). If you got it from MPH, I know they have fixed it. I've dealt with them 3 times and each time, they have gone beyond my expectations. I fixed mine for about $5 of the correct hose from NAPA.

2) Previous owner put the wrong (smaller) battery in the bike and it died recently. New battery from Interstate Batteries was about $110.

I was ok with the stock bars, but the Pro Taper Pastrana FMX bend handle bars are WORLDS better. You can get them in Silver, Grey, Black, or Gold. I have the silver ones. I wasn't too sure before I tried them, as soon I as rode with them for the first time I was converted.

I've put about 6,000 miles on mine in the last 7 months & adjusted the valves twice (every time I change the oil). It's pretty simple. The Griso isn't the fastest bike or best handling. But it simple beautiful, sounds awesome, fits me great, handles & accelerates well, and is easy to work on. It is the perfect bike for me. (Now, I would like to ride the 8v to get an idea of the difference.) :trust:

Thanks for the information. Yeah, no problems on the bike yet. I'll probably do the bars soon. Did you get an aftermarket exhaust for it? The only other thing I'd like to get is maybe some Rizoma mirrors. In a couple of years I hope to get an 8V too and the Tonti green edition looks hot.

Wow, nary a peep about my bike for sale.

Only because of poverty. Sweet bike.

Be patient, sadly you have to find just the right person for a Guzzi. If it had been about 6 months ago I would have jumped on it for my wife.

I still have the stock exaust on my Griso, but it has been gutted. Sounds mean as a dog, but still looks like a trashcan on the side of the bike. I plan on changing the exhaust in the future, but haven't found a "good deal" on one yet.

Wait until March... I've only had a few nibbles on my '04 BMW RT. However, I think people are finally starting to open up their wallets again and with the spring weather around the corner, motorcycle sales will start taking warming up along with the weather.

Also remember the Guzzi market can be a bit soft overall in the US.

All, thanks for the sage advice. I just got to sit on it until the weather gets nice.

Good Luck Bernardo! Haven't had a serious looker at my RT in a few weeks. :(

Thanks Wayne. Hopefully the Spring weather will motivate some to buy bikes. Of course, if we all had our stimulus checks by now we would be doing good. :trust:

We'll have to do a group ride sometime, Wayne.

Wait! I was going to buy it! :eek2:

When I got my new job! Oh, that didn't pan out.

When I won the lottery. Still waiting.

Never mind.

I took that picture when I had the bag mounts and bags. Unfortunately, I sold these when I purchased the Mistral cans as they didn't work with the mounts/bags at all.

Turns out my friend's upper price limit is firm-fixed. I thought I could get my buddy to realize he's got to spend more than $x,xxx to get a decent bike.:eek2: I'm not giving up on my dream to get him into a nice used guzzi or bmw. He's **** bent on a small to mid size cruiser because they're cheaper. Thanks for your quick reply and I'll see if I can goat him enough so that he givs in.

Well if he's interested in the future, I'm open to negotiating on the price. Good luck and thanks for the interest.

I will take the bike off your hands! Apparently I can't send PM's yet, but is there an email or a number I could contact you?

Help me out here before I get peer pressured into buying a car :/
