For the most part, yes. I won't be on either the street bike, or dirt bike for a couple weeks. Long story short, dirt bike crash, leg got pinned between the ground and the Cycle Rack, and it squished my knee and thigh pretty good. Got back from the doc today and so far, it's all just a bunch of external swelling and bruising.

You can get more of the story here (http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36912) if you want to.

He'd be going from NM to Hico and then back to NM. I was going to meet him there just to have lunch with him but I don't think I can make it up there and back in a day. I've got a treatment rescheduled for Friday morning and it usually makes for a tired/non-alert weekend.

The forecast shows 25-30mph North winds with gusts up to 35mph for Saturday. If that's the case, Kim and I are going to probably just stay at the house. As much as I want to go, I don't feel the need to be miserable on the way there and back.

Anybody going down from Denton County?

Bob,

We're not exactly leaving from the Denton area, but if you don't want to ride alone, you are welcome to make the run with me.

We're meeting at the "Rise and Dine Restaurant" on Beltline Rd in Addison. Show to eat about 7-7:15ish and we'll be gone by 8:30.

Look for the BMW RT's... My red 1150, a Graphite 1100, and a couple of 1200 RT's.

We're slabbing to Lake Worth, the back roads to Weatherford, Granbury, Chalk Mountain, Iredell, and on to Hico.

Here's the start spot...

Addison Rise and Dine Restaurant
Across from Sam's
4135 Belt Line Rd., Suite 100
Addison, TX 75001

Was it last year or the year before on this pie run ? with the big wind and blowing dirt across the road. My first experience with this kinda cross wind was on the return trip. Felt like a pillon rider was practicing line drives on the left side of my helmet with a Dallas telephone directory. I don't think the windshield helped much. Memory is still to vivid and I'm a wuss, but I will really miss not being there.

For those who venture down to the Gap via 1238 before or after pie, be mindful of the local constabulary. I received a "performance award" warning Sunday (Thank You, Thank You, oh Thank You ) and a mighty direct "We are watching this road. Closely."
