Hi y'all! Charlie here, on a rainy morning in north Arkansas, wishing he could be blitzing around the hills out west of Bandera. I lived in San Antonio and surrounds for 5 years, so I know whereof I speak. Great riding down there - some not-so-bad riding in a few other select places around your great State.

I know most of you like to come up here to the Ozarks to ride our wonderful twisties - if you've never been, I compare our area to the Hill Country except your trees are a lot shorter and your hills are farther apart!

My ride is a 99 Kawasaski Concours (NOT purple!) with, at last reading, 63,3xx miles on the clock. Cognac the Wander Bike is his name, and he is also my only car. Most recent trip (end of June/start of July) was to the magnificent Colorado Rockies, specifically the Gunnison/Ouray/Durango/Alamosa area. Previous to that was the trip to the Hill Country where I met Scott in person for the first time.

Okay, nuff 'bout me - I'll lurk around here a while and see what's going on. If'n any o' ya wanna know anything more about me, there's more than you'll EVER care to know on my webpage, listed in my sig. Hope to see some o' ya out in the twisties!

Hey Charlie!

:tab We are heading to the Hill Country this weekend to stay in some cabins just North of Medina off Hwy 16. If the weather holds out for the weekend, it should be great. The Texas Sport Bike Assoc., is doing their annual Iron Butt Invitational this weekend out there as well. Hopefully, this won't mean the LEO will be hiding behind every rock!

:tab We were just up in Eureka Springs a few weekends back for a few days of riding. It was awesome! The weather was a little cool, but the skies were clear and beautiful. We did not get any further East than Hwy 123 South of Mt. Judea. We had to run that several times  They finally fixed the part where the road slid down the mountain side  A group of us are heading back up in a few weeks. We'll be staying in Ava, Missouri with a fellow VFR rider. We'll probably be dropping back down into your neck of the woods. Any can't miss roads on your list? If you have time and want to do some riding, you are more than welcome to hook up with us.

Adios,
