The day went surprisingly well given the facilities and the weather.
It seemed as if it is going to rain all day. Early in the day (around 5am to 6am), it was drizzling a bit. However at check in time, and before riding the weather stabilized and rain stopped, giving us a nice grip and almost dry pavement. As the morning unfolded, the track became better and better, getting people a bunch of riding fun. On the flip side of lunch, it started to rain around 3pm for several minutes. We decided to engage cars in track drying, so that was an added bonus - riding the track in cars. After a while the track started drying up again, allowing riders to get back on for another session or so.
Overall the track went really well. Given that the facilities are not up and that there is no electricity, it was still a great day for the riders.
The next track day is our MSR Houston track on March 7, 2009. We hope to see you there.
