Not trying to start a "best" brand flame out, just curious...
I know that some peoples brands aren't listed, there are only 10 poll options available. The ones I selected are based on a wild guess of what seems like the most prevalent marques, but not in any particular order.

Reply however you see fit :bigokay: The question was prompted when I noticed that a lot of moto-groups are brand/ style specific, while TWT is more broad, one of the things I like about it. I wanted to see how broad.

Not for a while on the GS. Maybe a DR or KLR later this year to tide me over.

:tab Nice choice! I recommend getting a set of frame sliders pronto ;-) They will do wonders if you have a low speed drop in a parking lot or garage. Something many new riders do... well, and even some more experienced riders... hehe.
Adios,

For that matter I can recommend these.

Luckily I haven't had a chance to test them out, but the guys at TXSV may have a few stories.

By the way, ain't that bright friggin' yellow a fast color? 8-)
I still have my Suzuki sliders from my '03 SVS if anyone is interested. They are in new, unslid condition.

Untested, then? :-P
Another source (Motovation), we bought some for son's GSXR:

Might note that both vendors mentioned above have swing-arm sliders that double as "lift" buttons as well...

Wow, I got five brands of bikes! Since my XRs and Wing are all Hondas, well, I went Honda, but I might be on the Suzuki any given day. And, you don't have Diamo in your list, nor Jenching. The Chinese are big now days, ya know. Did you know the new Yamaha TTR50 is Chinese built???? Yup, never know what your gonna get when you buy Japanese. The earlier SVs were contracted to Hyosung I understand, Korean.
Anyway, I'd have chosen Kawasaki/Honda/Suzuki/Diamo/Jenching had I the option. ROFLMAO! Ain't never owned a Harley and don't presently own a Yamaha.

Nice Z Squidward. I have an 03 Z1000 and my GF has a 2000 ZR-7. Not necessarily due to brand loyalty (although my 1st bike was a Kawi). I just really loved the Z1K. Next bike will likely be a CBR600 or 1000, depending on how brave and rich I am feeling. Plus I have to be able to fit it next to the Z, because that one is sticking around.

Greetings, all!
I ride an '02 Yamaha R1. Seems I've had my share of Yamahas in the past - an early 80's 650 Special II, a late 80's or early 90's Fazer 750 ( I think!), a 94 YZF 750 (my fav!) and the current aforementioned R1. I've had two Kawasakis. An early 90's Ninja 600RR and an '89 ZX-10.
Very fond memories of them all.

Big Red Honda all the way. Been a Honda family going back to 1979. 4 Accords, 1 Civic, 1 CRX, 2 Legends, 2 TLs, 1 CL, 2 VFRs later, still a Honda family.

Of course there is my sweet little 2 smoke RG500WW.
Strange only 2 and both Zuk's I'll have to fix that.....

I've had a few bikes over the years from various makes however my latest is my first BMW. This time I went with an 1100S Boxercup Replica which can be a good handler for the twisties and loaded up for extended trips.
Wife has a 97 BMW F650ST to learn on and will also make a good bike for years to come. She hasn't voted brand yet
We're not brand loyalists even though the last two choices of bike may make it appear that way. The Boxercup was picked because I was after a sport/touring bike, it's a unique version of the 1100S, wanted a twin and always received positive write ups.
The F650 was by chance since my wife wanted to try out riding and a friend of ours owned the F650 with the low seat and suspension It was much easier to buy from someone we knew had taken care of the bike. He's since moved on to a BMW RT and in fact both he and his wife ride RT's in Ga.

I have a corral full in the garage and in my storage building. Nothing special just mine. Main ride is a BMW R1150RS which I truly detest. Bought it instead of the GS1150 because of an ex-wife (long story). Still love the SV650. Can't say enough about it. Bought it as soon as it became available. Other than that I have (7) Hondas, (1) Kawasaki, (3) Suzukis, (1) Monark, (1) DKW, (1) Greeves, (1) Triumph (Basket case), (1) Greeves, (1) Yamaha, (1) BMW, (1) AJS (Gave away another one this year), and (1) Panttera. Some run some don't. I need to clean house and just keep a few.

Dude you have a serious habit going there you need counseling. But before you please counsel my wife so I can get in on the surplus when you clean house.

It seems I will be in the US for a little while. Started a new project in Algeria and I'm sure I will be traveling there. Also, part of engineering will be done in Jakarta and Singapore so I will head there too. One good thing is my frequent flyer miles build up. I try and make it to PO's but either I forget or something comes up. I guess my Short Term Memory is going. I was supposed to have gone last week but forgot and went to see Chicken Little with my 9 year old.

I am one of the BMW owners, but the name probably gives that away. I also own a 2004 aprilia futura. Just like Buck's, with the exception of several thousand modifications he has done.

this is tooooo easy as I only have one to ride. in the past I have had 9 others from honda, kawasaki, suzuki, bmw.
4 or them were touring, the rest were crusiers.
now the sport/touring is by far the best except for the buzzzzzzzing on the hands.

Posted my ride in the survey. Had a HD 90cc way back, but now with rebirth of riding, on a S40. Not into touring or off road. But I was picking up the bike after first oil change and tune-up at local monopoly, and they were putting new treads under a beautiful blue, BMW 1200LS. Looked to be loaded. was afraid to get too close and drool on it.
Wx is super for January.
