Sure.....
All three photos were taken with a Tamron 70-200 2.8 lens (good lens, I highly recommend it)
Photo 1: 169mm/f10/ 1/125th of a second ISO 400
Photo 2: 200mm/f2.8/ 1/800th of a second ISO 400
Photo 3: 200mm/f2.8/ 1/500th of a second ISO 400

#2 has me intrigued.
It appears to me that the flowers in front of the center of attention flower, is/are out of focus, yet the stems/leaves of the flower at what I am assuming is the same distance are crystal sharp.
Was this done in PP, some other voodoo?
Great shot. I like the colors in #3 best, but #2 has me most interested.

Tamron 24-70 2.8 (another good lens)
f/10 1/100th ISO 400
The trick was waiting for the geese to hit a pose where their heads were orientated in an interesting fashion.....and then use the curve of the creek to lead the eye to the subject matter...along with a slight vignette.

No voodoo....just a very shallow depth of field (wide open aperture) along with focusing on the flower in the middle ground so that it is sharp and then due to the shallow depth of field the flowers in front and behind go blurry.

Are you using manual mode and picking those aperture and exposure time settings or using aperture priority and letting the camera set the exposure time?

I used manual mode on all of those photos. I set ISO first, then aperture to get the depth of field I want. I then use the spotmeter to get the proper exposure, there is a trick to get the proper exposure that involves setting the meter properly....and I'll explain that in class. :lol2: :lol2:

"spot meter" as in a separate meter, or the "spot" metering done TTL?

These were all spot metered using the "spot meter" function in the camera through the lens

Nice. Very Nice! The bluebonnet in the tree is tugging at me.

The bluebonnet shot appeals to me the most. Very nice. The shot of the geese is very cool, too.

Nice pics.
I saw the first one and thought....."okay, he takes a pic of a chain link fence - that's not really cool".
Until I saw the rest and determined you were one of those guys who know what he is doing and were playing around with technique.
I'm one of those guys who uses the auto function, since I don't really know what I'm doing. But, hey I can enjoy that find photos that somebody else takes who does know what they are doing.
Nice work.
