RideSmart Corner Work Program
Even wondered how you can get free track time? Well, now you can with RideSmart!

About the program:

One of the benefits of riding with RideSmart is the Corner Worker program offered by the school.
The program allows a person to volunteer for a track day event to serve as a corner work official.
In exchange, RideSmart will provide a credit to such person, which may be redeemed for a free track day with the RideSmart organization.
Full day served as a corner worker will yield a one full credit (one free track day). Half day served will equal to half of a credit (am until noon, or noon until end of day).

How to Earn Credit for Track Time:

Anyone interested in this corner work program should send an email to RideSmartCW@Gmail.com
The email should contain:
Name
Cell/Tel #
Email address
Corner work date(s) of interest
How many corner work days you have done

***NOTE***
It is imperative that you provide email and a tel # at the time of cw request.
Without this information we will be unable to place you on the roster.
This is to allow us to touch bases with you and confirm your commitment a few days before the event.
Not having enough cw volunteers exposes the school to the possibility of not being able to run the event (corner workers are mandatory).
None of the information you provide is given or sold away. EVER. TO ANYONE. We are the only holders of it.
**********

A response will be issues by RideSmart about the request, usually the same day.

There are several options when choosing how to work. Most people choose to work a full day, thus earning a full track day credit.
However, some do like half day work. In such cases, volunteers should approach RideSmart with a partner they will share the day with. Both volunteers need to provide all of the required information via email, and on the day of the job, both volunteers are required to show up at the event before riding commences (as outlined in the corner worker document, which is provided via email to all corner work volunteers).
Both volunteers need to decide who works the first half of the day (am until lunch), and who works the second part of the day (lunch until end of day).

Other options are having someone do the work for you, while you ride on the same day. It is an attractive option; especially if your loved ones do not mind volunteering time while you ride (an added benefit is the photos usually taken of the rider by their partners).
We are very flexible, and will consider a wide variety of circumstances and scenarios for the work.

A confirmation of placement on the cw roster will sent as soon as the rider is placed on the list.
A corner worker information document is sent within 5 days of the event. It describes the duties and responsibilities of corner workers.
Any volunteer who does not get such email should contact RideSmartCW@Gmail.com as soon as possible.

Should you have any questions at all about the new corner work process for RideSmart, feel free to email us at, well, you guessed it... RideSmartCW@Gmail.com.

We would like to thank you for your continued support, and hope to see you at the track. Ride safe - RideSmart.

How to Redeem Credit for Track Time:

We at RideSmart are very appreciative of the help and support you all have given us over the years. This season has been especially unique, given all the help we have been offered from you.

We cannot express the amount of gratitude we have for all you MH riders.

It is important to keep in mind that RideSmart, as any other motorcycle school, reserves a specific number of rider spaces in each rider session during a typical track event. That number, sometimes referred to as a rider cap, must remain fixed to avoid overcrowding during events. For that reason, it is very important for all track credit holders to make appropriate arrangements for redemption of credit they hold. The redemption process guarantees them a rider spot in one of the groups during the event.
Rider spots are reserved on a first come first serve basis, and therefore it is imperative that any credit holder contact RideSmart to notify of intent to ride.
One thing we have noticed is that there is an increasing trend from corner worker credit holders, to neglect registering for an event, arriving at the track without notice or registration, with expectations to participate as a rider.
Due to the fact that RideSmart enjoys immense popularity as a motorcycle school, and has a great following of riders who like to donate time to get track credit, arriving at the track without registration exposes a person to being denied participation as a rider. It is a situation we try to prevent; therefore registration is the only way to prevent the loss of time, money and fun.

To help enforce our rider group rules and guidelines, we have instituted the following for all corner workers who wish to use their accrued track credit(s) with RideSmart:

1. To arrange for corner work, please follow instructions in the above section, titled “How Earn Credit for Track Time”.
2. Please note down the date you worked (or save confirmation emails from us).
3. Decide on a date you wish to redeem your credit, and then notify us by calling 512.469.9491 - AT LEAST FOUR (4) DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Provide a specific date to redeem the credit.
4. Please ensure you receive a confirmation via email, that your name has been placed on the rider roster. At the time of speaking to RideSmart representative, please request an email confirmation (just in case).

NOTE:
Due to rider spot constraints and because of great interest in attending track days with RideSmart, we cannot guarantee anyone a spot unless they have registered, and receive an email notification.

Registration for any event may be done at the RideSmart web site, or, in certain cases, via telephone (by contacting Dave Wonders at 512.469.9491).
Simply said, please make sure to make arrangements to ride on credit as soon as you can, because we cannot hold spots for anyone.
It is also increasingly possible, that spaces in levels will be all filled up before the 4 days deadline, therefore we strongly advise not to wait, and call as soon as you think you would like to participate.
We do not want anyone to go through all logistical planning to attend a track day, only to find out that they cannot participate.

Credit Redemption Rules:

If you have acquired track credit in 2008 or later, you may redeem it during the 2008 or the following season.
Anyone who holds track credit from seasons prior to 2008, please contact Dave at 512.469.9491.

Your help with corner work helps us tremendously, and we hope to continue to serve each other for many years to come.

Thank you, and remember, ride safe - RideSmart
