Galveston Mission trip, and finally got a smugmug account

This past weekend our church tagged along with another to head down to Galveston to help out some churches down there.
I knew I would be too busy to take very many pics so I just handed the D40 to one of the kids and it got passed around. All in all the kids took almost 900, though I probably deleated over 100 of those.
So I needed a place to host them all and wanted everyone that went on the trip to be able to download full res if they wanted, and I had been kicking around getting a smugmug for a while.
So far I like it a lot, but haven't really gotten into it.

We were originally suposed to go to Mexico, but that got called do to safety concerns, and after seeing the reactiont o the people in Galveston I'm glad it got Mexico got canceled.
Galveston has come a long way but there's still A LOT of work to be done. It was cool seeing teenagers work as hard as they did and not expect anything in return.

they are a great bunch, I am very proud of them, they worked their butts off in 2 days of rain and two nice days, and I never heard any complaining or griping. :thumb:

Awesome! Give kids something to accomplish together, and they will do great things! Our kids always do service projects during Spring Break, and they love it. Thanks for sharing the pics.
