Go ahead and count me in. If work gets nutty, I may need to back out but I'll know a day or two before and can notify the "keepers of the cobbler."
I am out... Started a new job, and they gave me the graveyard shift for my first week working independent of the other employees who have been training me. I don't think you guys will still be there if I showed up about 12:30 AM on the 9th?

Skip, we ought to be able to make a ride of this one. FM 1252 west to 16 through Lindale to Hwy 110 and in to Van.If we leave here at 5 we'll have plenty of time.

In that case, toss in FM1253 to FM1805 before hitting 110... I'm just saying. :zen: 5 more miles and 23 additional curves - your call.

When I ordered the cobbler for Dave, I told them to expect about 10-15 people.
If more people sign up I will call and change the count.

Wednesday!!
Wednesday is also known as hump day and of course means that we should all hump it to Van on Wednesday to see what Elly keeps raving about. Wednesday being the third day of the week seems like such an unusual day for a meet and greet. However, the world famous Dave Terre is coming in that particular day...two days before Friday....also know as Wed - nes - day and we have to see him.
Oh yeah, everybody out there in TWT land don't forget that this event is on Wednesday!!

I'll count on hooking up with you guys at the intersection of FM 1252/FM 757 as you turn right and head north to FM 16. I would guess the rendezvous time to be 5:15 / 5:20ish, right? :rider:

On the map, FM1805 looks like fun. If I had known it was there, I would've ridden it last month on the way back from Grand Saline.
Still need a meeting place/time for Tyler folk. Maybe we can ride up FM2015 to FM16 and meet the Kilgore bunch there.

Hey, Jack. That'd be cool. Skip's calculation put us at 757/1252 around 5:15 or 5:20. see you there.
Mark, I'd like to add 1253/1805 to the trip. Want to hook up somewhere just west of 69 on 16? Assuming we hit FM 757 at 5:20, we ought to be at Hwy. 69 about 5:45 or thereabouts. Does that sound about right?

Mr. Bill--
Are y'all going to take FM757 to FM16 and head into Lindale that way?
If so, if I get out of trial early enough (which is looking good right now), I'll try to meet up with you at FM 16 at FM 2015 (a few miles east of Red Springs) about 5:20 or so.
Thanks.:eat:

That's essentially correct. We'll take FM 1252 from Liberty City, pick up Skip and Jack at 757, and then on to winona. Then 16 to Lindale, where we'll hook up with mark.
We think we'll hit 757 at about 5:20 so we ought to hit 2015 at about ... what, 5:30 maybe. Our target for Lindale is 5:45.
We'll see you this afternoon.

As always a good group of folks and it was especuially good to see Dave up from Austin on his new-to-him FJR.
Chuck is right: The food was good. Elly even had a blackberry cobbler made especially for the return of Dave, the prodigal organizer.
Mark, did you get away ahead of the eastbound crowd? I glanced around before we left and didn't notice you. I hope you went off and left us instead of the other way around.:lol2:

I can't believe that I forgot this. Wills Point was in the regional one act play competition and performed in Terrell at 4:30. I took off work early with plans to go to the play and then head for Van. Well I went to the play, and thin long about 7:30 I remembered the M&G. Arrrrgh!!! I had even told everyone in the family that I was going to the M&G after the play - and every single one of us forgot about it. Bummer...

Did y'all take 20 back to Kilgore? As we were all exiting at the same place, I headed out with Dave and Elly. I think we were the last ones to leave.
Regina was really bummed out about not being able to make it, she made the scheduling sacrifice so that I could be there. Fat Katz will be a good makeup for it, she loves Cajun food!
