I found out a couple of weeks ago that I had to go to York, PA for a couple of days. I decided that since regardless of how I went, it would be a hassle since it would be over Easter weekend (I have to be there at 9 AM on Monday), I would ride my bike there. So, I planned the route and I'm leaving tomorrow (Friday).

I posted my route here (http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=168392).

I'm taking 2.5 days to get there and then after two days in York, I'm going to spend a day in Allentown where we have an office. Then I'm going to visit my brother in Hartford, CT before coming home the following weekend. I figured it'll probably be around 4,000 miles by the time everything is said and done.

The only real decision I have to make now is what motorcycle to take. The '07 Buell Ulysses or the '09 BMW RT. Can't go wrong either way I don't think.

Just curious Wayne. My mother passed away last week and she lived in PA. So over the summer I'll have to make several trips back "home" to settle the estate with my family. Drove up and back last week by car all interstate. I was looking at several different routes (for the bike), one very similar to yours. The Natchez Trace Pkwy from Natchez MS to Nashville TN looks interesting and it's on my "bucket list".

My hometown is located just SE of where your route crosses from Maryland into Pennsylvania. HINT: That's where I got the username of "Thurmont". :thumb:

Anyway... you probably already have this on your list of stops but Harley Davidson has an assembly plant in York, PA. They have free tours thru the plant complete with wireless headsets so you can hear the tour guide over the sound of the machinery. The tour starts with a walk thru their museum and goes from the machine stamping out the 2 halves of what will become a gas tank to the quality control rooms in which an employee gets the finished bike up to 60+ MPH on a dyno. REALLY COOL! Definitely a must see!
