I'm going to TN. Need a place to lay down in S. Arkansas.

So next weekend I'm headed to TN for a bike camping weekend with my 2 brothers. I will be leaving on Wednesday and I'd like to stop somewhere around El Dorado Arkansas. Does anybody know of a place where I can get some shuteye in a safe location? I'm talking about side of the road lay down in my riding gear type of place.

I've done this before several times at roadside rest stops out in the country. Just pass out on a picnic table or something with my feet up on the bike. I just don't know this part of the country so I thought I'd see if you guys know of a park or other free spot to crash.

I will be waking early to get to TN asap on Thursday.

I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible so I'll be going guerilla ADV style on this trip!:lol2:

If all else fails, find a 24 hr Wal-Mart with some RV'ers in the parking lot. Snuggle up close to them and snooze.

Hey that's pretty cool sbro... How did you do that in google maps?

HiSPL - it's easy. When you enter a destination in Google Maps, you should see a pop-up window pointing to the destination on the map. One of the links in that small window is to "Search Nearby". Search for parks or pizza. In El Dorado, that list of parks was put together by a local resident and is available in the left panel of the Google Map page when you find that town.
