We were out cleaning up all of the leaves in the back yard yesterday and I kept hearing baby birds over by the back door... after careful searching I found them,,, in my hanging plant,,, very smart mama bird.. so I snuck over and snapped a pic while she was not looking (I think) she is a small fentch I think,, tiny little thing.. anyway I am glad that they are in a plant that I seldome water

Anyone else have unexpected new babies popping up anywhere???

:tab We used to get those every year in a hanging pot with the same kind of plant in it as yours. It was fun watching them learn to fly!

We've got a nest that's been in use on our back porch for at least ten years. I guess different generations nest in it. One year it was accidently destroyed by a friend who pressure washed our house. Within a couple of weeks it was rebuilt and being used.

We also own 30 acres and lease 15 to a man who raises goats. Within the past four days there have been 10 baby goats (kids) born on our property. And there's more to come!

Had to move the plant over last night (rain and all) so they would not get wet... mom did not seem to mind,, think I will keep it still from now on,, it is in a good place now.. I hated to intervene but it got really wet last night

Am going to go back out in a couple of weeks and snap another pic or two and see how they have grown!!:sun:
