wow great shots! your bike almost looks chopped into the pic
what are you guys using to get such high res panoramic shots?
I've used autostich or whatever but it doesn't seem to spit out pics as high res as the ones I started with.

I've got Photoshop Elements 4.0 and can't find a 'stitch' feature. Are you just doing layers and matching them up?

Great images here guys. I LOVE panoramas. In case any body wants, I wrote a small article on how to make panoramas (http://www.matikrimerman.com/getmore/howtophoto/panoramas.html) a while ago on my website. I'm not sure it would help but I guess it couldn't do any harm either :-).

It is indeed, and you have a shot of it in the home page rotation. Or it was in if you changed the rotation up.
Actually yours is a standard non-pan shot that is almost identical to this one from my trip.

I have a request. Please resize the images to 1000 pix or less in width for inclusion in the body of your post, and use a link if you want folks to see the full size image. Having to pan the browser window to view the entire image loses something...

I think they have a plugin or tool for the forums that auto resize then you can click to see it bigger maybe its worth installing it on the board in general.. its really cool!

Here are a few from a ride today:
San Jacinto river is WAY out of its banks where it crosses FM 1791 SW of Huntsville. The river is actually in the woods in the distance, perhaps a 1/4 mile away.
http://twtex.com/linkfiles/041909-DayRide/pano1.jpg
The road is actually straight here and not like a corner. I wonder if using a wide angle lens would reduce that effect? This was shot with my Canon SD600 Digital Elph point and shoot.
This is Johnson Rd., which runs East from Dacus on FM 1486, about halfway between Richards and Dobbin (Hwy 105).
http://twtex.com/linkfiles/041909-DayRide/pano2.jpg
It was over my footpegs in the deepest part and moving pretty darn fast. So long as I kept my speed at about 10mph it was no problem. But if I slowed, it would start pushing the bike a little bit, not sliding, but like trying to tip me over. The pavement underneath was clean so traction was not an issue. Keeping my feet dry was though  :lol2:
A friend that lives just outside of town said that their rain gauge showed just over 8" for Friday and Saturday

the bending is called a wide angle effect the longer the lens the less you see it. You really see it in fish eye lens's they are very short.

I was wondering how far apart the pics needed to be in order for all of them to line up like they should. I have this option on my phone camera and we were plaing with it at the botanical gardens a couple of weeks back. None of them came out quite right and I was not sure (because I can not see it on the screen) where one shot ended and the other began... are they all like that or is it because it is on my cheap little phone and not a camera?
Here,, see?!?

and
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m277/liltxfreebird/DSC00114.jpg
I read your article and thought it was great, still, is it because I am on a little cell phone with limited view of the pics on the screen that makes it hard to line these things up?

I dont think its an issue of the camera as much as the programming behind making the pano on the phone. I would use one of the programs listed in this thread.... Using those and phone pictures would yield a better result then you are getting now
