Hello to all. We wanted to give you heads up about a few new things for this event.

1. More track time:

Dave, once again, has decided to buy more track for your riding pleasure. So instead of riding 9AM to 5PM, you will ride 9AM to 6PM.
That is a full hour of extra riding time. I don't know how this guy does it!!!
So please come prepared to ride longer, and ensure that you stay hydrated and nourished throughout the entire day (bring some extra energy bars, etc to get you through).
The weather man says it will be sunny with 0% chance of rain, with temps in the 90s. So to maximize your riding time and pleasure, keep drinking that water and gatorade (which Dave already provides at no charge), and keep snacking on things.

2. RideSmart T-Shirts

Apparently the new RideSmart T-Shirts were a complete smash at the previous event, with all of them selling out.
We have spoken to our print shop and they are doing everything they can to fulfill our order on another set of shirts. We are doubling the order size to ensure every interested party can get a chance to obtain what they want.
As of now, I think the word is it is a GO. The shirts will be ready Friday evening, and we will have them on Saturday am and Sunday.
We are still going to leave the promo price in place. I know we were going to do this on the first run, but the demand was so strong that Dave just wants to get the shirts out there, even though he is not making a penny on them (once you see the shirts, and see/touch the quality, you will know).

3. Gates

Gates to the track will be open at 5pm, and will remain open until 10PM. At that time they will be closed until the next morning, at 6am.

4. MSRC Flow of activities:

* Gates open at 6:00AM for those not camping.
* Check in begins at 7:00AM for ALL levels, in the upper classroom.
* Tech inspection begins at 7:15AM in the paddock area in front of classrooms.
* Track Drive will take place at 8:00AM SHARP. All are expected to collect next to tech area (those with pick ups are encouraged to help in transporting people through the track). Please be ready for the track drive at 7:50AM.
* Check in will stop at 8:30AM to allocate vacant spots to standby customers. So please ensure you are checked in and tech inspected before 8:30AM, or you run a chance of space forfeit. In case of emergencies, ensure that you contact Dave at 512.689.9875. Let him know you will be late and he can make arrangements for you to get in.

* Riders' Meeting will take place at 8:30AM SHARP!
EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE RIDERS' MEETING. NO EXCEPTIONS.

* Riders' Meeting will conclude at 8:50AM, giving level 4/3 a chance to get ready.
* Riding will commence at 9:00AM SHARP, with LEVEL 4/3 going out first, followed by LEVEL 2, then LEVEL 1 (this rotation will continue throughout the day).

Listen for lunch calls. Lunch will be provided by Dave (in tech area).

* Riding will stop around 6PM (give or take a few minutes)

NOTE: We strongly advise everyone bring their receipts from online registration. It helps us locate your info and make the check in process smoother for everyone.

NOTE 2: We also advise that you take the time and print out registration forms before coming to the track. I am attaching them in this thread. Print them, fill them out and all you will need to do is hand them in during check in. This will help us all reduce wait time and will make the entire process much quicker.

Thank you for your attention and help in making this a smooth process for everyone. If you have questions, please feel free to pm us.

I did that twice while filming for RS last week at TWS. I had to follow a guy 3 times.

Had an awesome time for both days out there. The track was crazy sticky, most everybody (in L2, at least) seemed to be riding in a fun, controlled manner, and the whole thing was very organized. There was a bit of bunching up on Saturday due to the tough-to-pass section of the 3.1, but nothing that couldn't be avoided by a quick trip through pit lane. Thanks to all the instructors for leading an informative, worthwhile, and entertaining discussion and being cognizant of the techniques and principles that they have been charged with imparting to us (how's that for a vocabulary lesson?). See you all out at the next one.

BTW, ciaka, are you an instructor? Which one are you? (just being curious)

In retrospect..ie: watching the blackness creep across my hand... I sincerely doubt I'll run the new track again until MSR-C addresses the run off issues, or lack of. I made out better than the other poor fellow who went down in turn 10 for sure. But it seems to me that a rock-filled-ditch is not the kind of run-off an amateur like myself needs to have available to wind up in again.

Going to the ER is absolutely no fun when NONE of the attending staff believes a word of you telling 'em the wife smacked you around...and I genuinely think she would have, if only to make me sit still and go to the er in the first place.
