NEW DATES - OCTOBER 10 & OCTOBER 11 @ TWS - $135/Day

Many of you have asked why we do not often to 2 days at the TWS track.
There are many reasons why this does not happen often, however, on Oct 10 and 11, just such an occurrence will take place.

All of you already know the track. If you do not, below you will find all the info and links that will allow you to familiarize yourself with this fine facility.
The event is still a bit off into the future, but it is time now to start making plans and preparations, since dates like this do not happen very frequently.

As always, we sincerely appreciate all of your loyalty and we look forward to seeing you at the track.

EVENT DETAILS:

DATE: October 10, 2009 and October 11, 2009

Hello duffey. This is a motorcycle school where riders are divided into 3 major categories according to riding experience.
LEVEL 1 - NOVICE
LEVEL 2 - INTERMEDIATE
LEVEL 4 - ADVANCED

There is also a LEVEL 3, which hosts advanced riders who take the Ty Howard Race School. They ride along with L4 on the track.
Level 1, 2 and 3 come with full day instruction, both on the track and in the class.
We welcome any bike as long as it is 250cc or bigger. It does not have to be a sport bike.
It needs to be in good mechanical shape (no leaks and all controls working well). Tires need to be in good shape too (50% tread for a track day or more).
Gear wise, you need to have full face helmet, gloves, over the ankle boots, and either a zip up 2 piece suit, or a one piece suit.

You will spend 20 minutes on the track, followed by 20 minutes in class, then 20 minutes rest. Then you go out on the track once again, etc, etc.
This cycle repeats until end of day.

Should you have any questions at all, just PM us or give us a call at 512.469.9491.

Have a great day.

What kind of riding suit would suffice?

Black leathers with 3" steel spikes; infinite chain wrap; and demonic flame proof. Will trade soul for it! Just kidding..... I have a New Teknic leather jacket with all the armor and a 12" waist zipper. The track day web site said it had to connect with the pants. 34 waist 30 inseam/ 5'8" 180lbs (have you ever noticed women don't used that for shopping?) Just looking for something to comply with regulations as street use would be my impersonation of a pot roast this week. WHEW,IT'S HOT! P.S. How does He keep his head lit when he rides?:angryfire

Basically a leather or cordura one or two piece suit that zips together is accepable. No mesh riding suits are allowed.

Sorry, got to run, it is 4:30 AM and I have to finish getting ready so I can leave my house by 5:00. Headed to the track.

Have a great day and come ride with us.

Though the Avatar is a self portait, I am not sure if you can see the flames from my skull when I ride. Been so hot lately that it feels like my head is on fire.:angryfire

Still riding every day. Seeing temps in the 105 range. Don't think I have it in me to knuckle under and take the truck to work, just so I can have A/C.
