Work is sending me to Denver CO once again next week. Last time I was up there I thought my next trip back should be by moto if it were in the spring or fall. Well, even though it's almost summer the stars and moons have aligned and I will be riding the motor(rad)home up for a 7 day stay.

My plan is to run the slab up to ensure I get there without delay for my meetings and then take a more relaxed route back. It may not be the most fun running on the open interstate, but I will be on the bike. :rider:

I'll have to use one personal day on each end of the trip but I should nearly break even on expenses. I expect to be reimbursed only up to the cost of round-trip airfare. Anything above that is out of my pocket. But again, that's okay since I'll be riding and will have the bike for the weekend I'm up there.

I've never been good about taking pictures along the way but I'll make an effort this time. I expect there should be some interesting sights aside from my planned stops.

Say a prayer for me and wish me luck!

If you itemize, I think you can deduct the miles and gas on your taxes.
You might check into it.

Planning and preparation is complete. Now it's time to put things in motion. The bike and house are ready. I just need to pack and load the bike.

I'm a bit anxious for my first solo trip of distance, but not nearly as bad as the SO.

Early AM departure tomorrow should have me in Celina for lunch (would love to meet any local TWTs for lunch). Then, onwards to Hutchinson KS for an overnight stop. The Cosmosphere caught my attention. The following day should be an easy run into Denver.
