New Mexico Help/Storage for truck

The wife and I will be heading north into the mountains around the middle of August. Anyone have any info on where I could find a good place to drop a truck and trailer for about 3 weeks? I'm looking for something in the northern part of New Mexico. I'm not that particular and the state's not THAT big, but something west of Raton would be nice.

I don't know this personally, but I know people that swear that the Raton PD will let you park bike trailers/tow vehicles in their lot.

One of those was a 30ft trailer with a crew cab dually...

That is good intel on Raton PD, we put our truck there for about 4 days last fall.
Very nice folks at the PD.
You will have to sign a release and give them a rough itenerary but nothing too detailed.
Something like "going here and here, be back about this day"
There were several rigs in the lot when we were there.

One of these days I'm gonna find out for myself. I'm just afraid I'll spoil myself getting away from that torture of a run up and down 287. Or should I say Tour-ture! :rofl:
