looking for a good deal on a D40

Is this a good deal on a D40? I have been looking a slr and I think the D40 will do what I want.. let me know if this is good bad.. If you have a place to go that might be better. any info will be good info..

That is a good price. Wal-Mart and B&H are considerably more expensive.

There are several on here that shoot a D40, from all accounts it is a good camera to get.

EDIT: I just realized that your link is for a REFURBISHED camera. With that being known, I think I would go with the Wal-Mart kit.... I think the price is about equal when you add in that their kit is NEW, and comes with two 4gb memory cards.

I was just about to say the exact same thing.

When you factor in the "refurbished" aspect, $374.95 ain't such a great deal. Plus you've still gotta pay for shipping. Go for the Walmart deal and you can choose the site-to-store option for free shipping, and you get two memory cards to boot! And you WILL need at least two SDHC memory cards my friend. :trust:
