Whoo y'all! It is dang hot outside! :sun: What you doing to beat the heat?

This is where y'all can experiment, comment, and critique your entries before they go to "the man" for judging.

Show the world what you are doing to beat the heat this summer. Are you going swimming? Playing in the sprinklers? Going out on the lake? Going to the beach? Staying inside in the A/C playing video games?

we're taking the youth group to the beach this weekend so if I think about it I'll be able to snap a few pics of that

yesterday, we had kid's water day at our church where my wife is the children's ministry director. that's my daughter 'sam' on the picture.

Just looking at how much fun the the kids in the first two test shots are having, I feel much cooler already. Great water captures!

This guy knew how to stay cool on a humid, 100-degree day. In fact, I'm pretty sure he was mocking me:

Did you use a polarizing filter for the turtle shot? There's no glass reflection.

Actually, there is. If you look closely, you can see the very faint reflection of a handrail and a little girl leaning over it in the upper right-hand corner. I was actually sitting in front of the rail and had already picked a shot that minimized the glare and reflection given by the glass. From there, it was just a matter of letting the turtles swim in and out of the shot and then snapping like crazy for something good. Out of 15 shots, I got two that I liked.
