I am having trouble during certain times of the day, but only from work (before/after hours and during lunch). I get the following error:

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

Just curious if anyone else has these issues. Don't ever seem to have this problem at home (when &^%$#@ Comcast is woking! - been out since Tuesday)

We are working on a resolution to the intermittent database failures. It'll take a couple of steps to get us there, but we are aware of the problem and working on a solution.

I had the same problem at about 7:30 this morning. lasted for about 1/2 hr.

:tab Yes, I have noticed the site being slow to respond at times. Like Charlie said, he is aware of it and working on it. There does not seem to be a particular time that is worse than any other for me.

Casey ... the problem you saw this morning around 7:30am was definitely one of the database failures. I got quite a few emails on that incident. There was another one around lunch today too, but it did not seem to last as long.

Actually, I am relieved that it is not just my over-firewalled, over-protected, common network here at work.
