Thought I would drop a line since I just registered. I can't remember how I even found the site but I have been lurking for a bit. Work in Dallas and live in Arlington so I'm a bit far from most of you guys in Houston. Besides, it is way too humid down there for me.

My ride is a 2000 red Triumph Sprint ST and I love it. The VFR was a contender but the Brit character won me over (actually it was the stock bags). Been riding about 4 years and took the MSF class. My first ride was a BMW K75.

I've been out to Arkansas, Oklahoma, and the Hill Country and a trip to Fredericksburg in Oct is already planned. If there are any locals looking for someone to ride with, let me know. If I'm not on the Mt Bike on the weekend, I'm on the cycle. Of course the over 100's temps. have me driving my GTI more than usual.

Wait a minute..... K75, Sprint, GTI??? I see a pattern developing. I did go to England/Ireland a couple months ago.

Have fun and ride safe..... :-D

Welcome to the site Sharkey! Good to see a fellow DFW rider come aboard.

Howdy,

Sharkey, are you in the Triumph Sport Riders' Assoc.? Do you know Jack Hayes, Steve Duncan, or Dave Viosca? They are all Sprint ST guys as well, well Dave was, no he rides a Guzzi. I hang out on the Sprint ST/RS mailing list, my list name is "Jap Dawg" as I ride the token Jap bikes for their rallies :-) They are a fun bunch to ride with. I originally hooked up with them while on a trip to North Carolina and have since done several of their rallies.

I hear you on the heat! I just got in from a morning ride of 250 miles and it was hitting 100 F by 11:00am!! :brainsnap That ain't right!

Scott, don't know those guys. I have been to their site. It seems that whenever they have their annual trip, I have something else going on. Trip to England really drained the pocketbook + a Vegas wedding in Dec and a new home is also in order. I knew it was true love when she got on the bike the first time and we did 200mi roundtrip on a windy day.
Rings, Wedding, New Home - Hay caramba! I tried to buy her a Ducati Monster instead, but she didn't fall for that!

:tab Just out of curiousity, why are you posting as sharkey2 when I show a registered user as sharkey? Did you have trouble getting registered? I am assuming both usernames are you. Need me to fix something?
