Still waiting on my $32 piece of plastic which will have to be renewed AGAIN in 2015. What a load of BS.
Am I the only one who sees that exclamation mark and is somehow reminded of the Adventure Rider salute?
We must be the only western democracy that has compulsory ID cards by default. You know in Europe you don't have to carry your license but if you do get stopped and they want to see it then you have 5 days to produce it. When I lived in the UK for a while you didn't have to carry an insurance card either. The cops could tell if you had insurance or not cause it was on their computer in the car. Your license didn't expire until you were 70. Can it really be that hard to bring the DPS into the 21st century?????
The price we pay for good dentistry I guess.

...you do not have to identify yourself to an officer unless you are under arrest.
Funny how that works.Good luck walking away from an officer that has just asked you to identify yourself and you have refused him/her...
I was amazed at the new rules set up by the Bush administration. Since October last year if you are not a citizen it is listed on your DL (feeling safer already?).
Does anyone know how they determine this? Any guesses? They ask "Are you a US citizen?" If you say yes (or Si, Da etc. as you can do the whole thing in Spanish if you want) then you get your license. If you say no then you have to prove your legal right to be here. Doesn't that make you feel safer!!! Useless bureuacracy!
