I know I have not posted in here much, but with my new to me bike I hope that I can now get out and meet you guys on some pie runs. I have an 01 SV650S (going up for sale) but my hubby just surprised me with a 2007 BMW F800ST!

We had gone to the BMW dealership planning on looking at an 09 when we found they had this 07 on consignment. It already came with the hard side bags and also included the center stand, heated grips, computer and ABS. It only had 7k on it. The only diff between it and a new one was a few minor scrapes on the swingarm and the color. I got it for at least less than half of what a new one would cost. I am so stoked to go out on some longer rides this next year.

The bike seems to just fall into corners easier than the SV which really surprised me. It has a nice low center of gravity with the gas tank below the seat. I can't completely flat foot it, but I am ok with that. I already have a trip planned for New Mexico next year in April with a group of friends. Here is a pic of my new baby. If you know of anyone looking for a great SV650S I will be posting mine for sale in the classifieds area.

I dunno which is better, belt drive or shaft, but I no likey chains. :argh:
My bike runs a belt, still the original with just a bit past 72k miles, I check the belt for damage every few months, only needs adjustment when the back tire gets swapped out.
Theyre incredibly strong.

With a bike like that you may start to get depressed. There won't be as much maintenance. You may need an old junker just to have something to twist wrenches on. :lol2:
