Hi Guys
Does anybody know if those 2 Engines have the same dimensions, or if the 1250 Motor fits into Gen 1 Model's?
Much obliged

If you have a 1200, I can get you some measurements from the 1250, but I seriously doubt they're even close.

The 1250 got a whole new frame, and the motor is completely new. The motors are quite a different layout looking at them side by side:

Good luck,

Looks similar, but are not..motor mounting positions and width are off from bike to bike.. If it was the same, I would've transferred my case guards to the 1250
I had a 1200 before my 1250..
Liked better than the 1250:
mirrors (would lock into place so you could fold them and easily unfold without having to fiddle with adjustments
seating ( no abrupt rise at rear section
transmission shifting and slack (1200 though a 5 speed just shifted better, and had less driveline slack)
seat of the pants (for me) I think it handled better and felt just a bit lighter
smaller muffler
Liked the 1250 better for:
The engine overall, starting, running and torque
Looks and fit/finish.
BTW : I had both in "Blue Streak" color ;-)
( we all know that's faster !! :trust:
