Bluebonnet run on the 17th?

I'm wanting to do a Bonnet ride, leaving on 4/17 and back on 4/19! What is your (any) advice on where to see the "Better Views" southwest of Austin and northeast of San Antonio? This will be our first, flower ride down there! I'm planning to stay here, http://www.riverinnresort.com/ if avaiable!

I've found the best blues south of Dallas around Joe Pool Lake state park and in Ennis. Stop at the Ennis tourist info in downtown Ennis for directions. The River Inn looks pretty sweet. Just a little west of there is the three sisters, a must ride as long as your there.
