Louisiana Bayou's

I'm putting an itinerary together for a four day touring bike run to Louisiana and am looking for input on where to ride. When I look at the Great River Road using Google Earth I'm really underwelmed. What do you folks suggest? This group has been known to travel from 300 to 600 miles a day depending on the scenery and conditions.

thanks Manfred! my group had talked about ding this the same weekend as the lone star rally and just staying at a beeach house down there thursday night, then rolling out on Friday morning and running down to high island, then winnie, and doing the southern route. You know, something swampy with lots of mosquitos....bzzzzzzzzz...bzzzzzzzz.bzzzzz.... SMACK!
