Howdy,

:tab I will probably be heading over to College Station both Saturday and Sunday to watch the CMRA racing at Texas World Speedway this weekend. For those of you that have never been, it is fun and cheap. You can walk around the garage area and pit lane to see stuff up close. Here is the schedule for the season:

http://www.cmraracing.com/schedule.htm

If you click on each event, you can view a PDF file that shows the schedule for each day. There is a spectator lap on Sunday where you can take your bike out on the track for one or two paced laps. It is cool just to see what the track is like.

Scott,
Can anybody go in and watch and do you know if there is an admittance fee to watch?

Anne,

:tab Anyone can go. On Saturday, I think it is 10-15$. Used to be $5 on Saturday but I think they raised the price. Sunday is $15-20. The sprint races on Sunday tend to be more exciting to watch from the spectator point of view, especially if you don't know any of the racers. These are six lap shootouts. So there are lots of short races rather than one long one like Saturday's endurance race of six hours. Typically, there are more people there on Sunday.

Adios,
