Well the 4th of July weekend was here again and the
remnants of Alex were causing havoc with everyone’s plans so, rain
or no rain I was gonna go for a ride.

Bosque county is about as close as you can get to “hill country”
style riding within an hour of Waco so off I went.

Opps, had to make a quick stop by the inspection station on the
way out of town.

My first stop was Eichelberger Crossing. I would like to get a
picture of the DRZ on the old bridge but…

I had been by this ranch before but had never seen the camels.

This fellow wanted to know exactly what I was doing stopped
along side his road..

The water was not very high on the water crossings in the
area so I took to opportunity to get this picture…

An recently cleared “overlook in Bosque county…

Beautiful view…on a clear day with a nice camera…instant desktop…

The Horny Toad in Cranfills Gap has great burgers and with the
rain I was hoping to miss the Saturday crowd…Mission Accomplished…

I was pushed off my intended route by a rain storm and ended
up in the edge Hamilton County.

Took the zig-zag route back home and rode though a downpour
in China Springs.

About 180 miles total for the ride.

Have a Happy and Safe July 4th everyone…

looks like a good ride, anyone riding tomorrow I have off

I miss living in Waco.:tears: Back in the '80s I used to ride the RZ out to my uncles place on the Brazos outside of Glen Rose. I always took the road less traveled.:sun: I bet my trusty ole RZ holds the record for most gravel road miles on a sport bike.:rider:
