Howdy,

:tab Because the last bike night was derailed by bad weather, we are gonna try again this coming Thursday. Official time is from 7-9pm, although some folks show up earlier to make a run up through the forest and back. King's Cafe is one block North on FM 149 at the intersection of Hwy 105 and FM 149 in Montgomery. I'll be there this time because I can't afford to be riding in Arkansas all the time

You know I am starting to think that you have something against me. :| I have been waiting since June to join you all at Bike Night but the last 3 months I have been on duty that day of the month. It looks like Murphy's law is going to get me again because I am working this Thursday night. :? I am off on the 25th of this month but judging by the way my luck has gone I am sure that some hurricane will blow thru that night. LOL.

:tab Actually, we will probably do one the 25th as well as that will be the last Thursday of the month, which is what we have been trying to do all along. Don't feel bad. I have yet to be able to attend any of the MotoGP viewing parties due to being on call hehe.

Howdy,

:tab The weather is playing games with us! :x I still plan on going unless it is raining really hard. Don't have enough tread left on the rear tire to move the water out of the way :( Check here (http://www.weatherunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=Montgomery%2C+Tx) to see what's up with the weather before you leave. It's sunny and pretty outside right now

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. Regardless of what the weather is doing, work will keep me at the office late this evening. :(

But I will see you next Wednesday, Scott - Arkansas, here we come! 8)

:tab Looks like it is clearing off. I'm just gonna put on the rain suit and go. Rain riding is a good time to practice being smooth and thinking far enough ahead that you don't have to do anything sudden. Besides, my bike is simply too clean right now.

Howdy,

:tab Beth had a meeting to attend and could not get down until later. Debbie and I left about 6:40 after installing her new windscreen. We rode down and it was beautiful! The sun was low on the horizon and shining back up under the storm clouds that were drifting off to the East. I wish I had taken my camera. We got to Kings about 7:15 and no one was there. We figured everyone else gave up on us. Beth came about fifteen minutes later. About the same time three other people showed up. Then as we were all finishing up, Dan Filpot arrived. So not a bad turnout considering the weather. As we rode home back up through the forest, there was lightning off to the Northwest that was lighting up the sky. the moon was coming up on the Eastern horizon and backlighting some low clouds. As we were zinging along, I kept seeing lightning bugs zipping past my head, little green streaking blurs, kind of cool. I was getting nervous about getting back to Huntsville ahead of the storm, but we made it with about twenty or thirty minutes to spare according to the radar. I just checked it and one of the biggest storms I have seen in quite some time appears to be heading right for us. Should make for an interesting evening!

Adios,
