:tab Chris, have you contacted the cafe yet to let them know we are coming? It would help to make sure they are going to have their full compliment of desserts.

:tab For anyone else thinking of coming, we really do need some kind of idea how many people to expect. So if you plan on coming, we need a firm answer, maybe's won't be counted and we'll rib you relentlessly if you bail after saying you'll be there ;-)

What is the upcoming schedule for PR IX (Sept) and PR X (October)?
Need to keep the calendar open...

Thanks.

Now back to PR VIII...

Updated the list. Jen will update it as needed later this week.

TM-No, I haven't called them yet. Since I'm leaving tomorrow for a business trip to Dallas (on the bike!), do you mind calling them?

Gilk51-The regular rotation would be:

Pie Run IX at The Shed in Edom, TX (24 Sept)
Pie Run X at Koffee Kup in Hico, TX (29 Oct)

That is, unless an alternate place can be found. :-D

Want to do a loop up to 3090 and then over to Huntsville? We would still make it there in plenty of time.

And (scouts honor) I promise not to publicly single out anyone with less-than-complete protective gear. ;-)

Following up on Squeaky's suggestion, would any other Houston-area riders like to meet for the ride up to Huntsville? How about we get together at the Exxon on the NE corner of Huffmeister and Hwy 290 just past Hwy 6? Thinking 9:00 a.m. meet-up and 9:30 stands-up.

Rather than go all the way up to FM 3090, I thought we could take a scenic route through the Forest that avoids most of Hwy 149. We could still do 3090 on the return trip if anyone is interested.

Howdy,

:tab I just spoke with the manager. He said he will be baking fresh pies and cakes this evening and all tomorrow morning before we arrive. So there should be a nice assortment of desserts. He said that often, people buy the entire pie or cake and they disappear about as fast as he can make them! I told him to expect 30-40 people so you maybes better show :-P

Wait, now I'm confused - are we meeting there and riding with the street group or just meeting them and then breaking off along the way? I thought we were just taking a separate route altogether...

If we are meeting there and waiting for them, then I will start out with them at 290 and then meet up with you guys to ride the DS route.
