Willcox is too close; the Wing wouldn't even be warmed up by then. Of course if folks wanted to make it a Track Day that would be an option...
http://www.indemotorsports.com/site/
Ft Stockton would be a piece of cake; that's only 600+ miles. I could ride there; eat pie; turn around and be home in time to qualify for a SS1000.

Yeah, I'm trying to convince the Goldwing group out here that we need to meet the GWTA New Mexico contingent in Pie Town some weekend. That too would be an easy-peasy ride. (for me) You Tejas folks might need to make a long weekend of it. That's a 700 mile run one-way from Fut Wuth.

meet a bit before 7 and leave at 7 or a smidge after. MapSource shows 3.5 hours & I like to be a bit early. ;-)
Plan at least one stop in Valley Mills (approx halfway), maybe another after that.
Haven't decided on the return route yet. (thinking about snagging the courthouse in Georgetown and coming back thru Gatesville).

Carefull on Lexington, there was a couple of rough spots on 696 where they were doing some road construction, this was after Lexington and before Elgin, about mid-way along that route. Looks like a couple of bridges are being replaced/put-in. Just went through there this past Saturday.

Looks like Voyagerrider and Ladyrider are out for this one after all.
My nephew, Brandon, passed away this morning. Brandon was 26 but aflicted with Downs Syndrome so he had all of the respitory and cardiac issues that go with it. He had been more in the hospital in the last month than out. He had already lived over 20 years longer than doctors gave him at birth, partly due to the teniousness of his parents. My brother and sister-inlaw were determined that he have as many opportunities as possible. He is part of reason my sister-inlaw became a nurse so she could care for him. He graduated highschool at 21. He will be missed, but the bible tells us that God takes care of the little children. Eventhrough Brandon was 26, mentally he was about 3 or 4. Brandon was as a little child and God is taking care of him.

How about those coming from Austin and interested in doing the "Before Pie Gravel Ride" meet at Coffee-a-Deli on North Lamar (by Ross' Old Austin Cafe) for a stands up departure soon after 08:00? I've marked it on the map above. We'll ride back roads to Elgin and pick up anybody else who wants to go. I'm guessing we'd be in Elgin at ~ 08:30 - 08:40. Ron you could meet us in Bastrop for the ride back north?

Yep, about 5 meeting at the Daily Grind at rm620 and Great Oaks. Meeting leaving at 9:30am. The plan is to head out 1431 then drop down 1660 through Hutto and then down 95. Not too exciting, but better than the direct route. You are welcome to join in.
I may be out though. Just got a call from a guy who wants to swing by and buy the TA. He's a trucker heading for Houston and when he gets here is dependent on when he gets unloaded there. I won't know until tomorrow evening what my schedule is.
