In another week or so I'll be leaving on a solo trip. Stopping in Little Rock for a brewery tour, then Lynchburg to visit family and tour Jack Daniel's distillery, then Bowling Green KY to check out the Corvette Museum and finally to Northern IL to visit the folks.

On the way back I'm going to stop and ride as much of the ozarks as time will allow. I've found a few good sites that have some nice routes listed, and plan on taking 7 south on the end of the trip to get back to TX.

This site http://www.ozarkmountainregion.com/maps_directions , has a few routes and they seem to all center around Harrison. Just looking for some suggestions on camp sites, and opinions on routes and ideas for the Ozarks.

Being from St. Louis with parents in Ky. daughters in Chicago and having been on most of the roads you're taking I can say that you will have a good trip thru Mo. & Ark. There at your turn at 32 & KK in Bixby,Mo is a private offroad riding area & campground. Check out www.ridemtra.com. Ride safe & post pics.

If Bixby is closed then just SE of there in Lesterville,Mo is a campground on the Black River. They stage the Mo. 200 dualsport out of there and the river is good and cold if you need a cooldown. :rider: Lots of twisty highways in the area of Bixby also.

Washed the bike tonight.

Summary -

Best place I've ever ridden. Great weather for both weeks. Camp grounds were great and would definitely stay there again. Pictures show some of the tamer corners, as on most of the crazier turns are impossible to safely take pictures. 2 weeks spent on trip, 3,320 miles ridden. 8 states driven through

Second ride -

Was making good time on 7 headed to Russelville when I came up on a accident that blocked the road. Cops said a few hours to get through, so had to head back towards Marshall.
