Howdy,

:tab Based on that route, I am guesing you are riding with a bunch of cruisers :P From Groveton to Trinity, FM's 355 and 356 are nice. From Trinity to Huntsville, FM 230 to FM 3478 to FM 980 in to Huntsville is nice. Hwy 30 to Roans Prarie sucks. However, Hwy 30 to FM 1791 south to FM 149 is nice. From that intersection you can run West to Richards on 149. Between Richards and Anderson, 149 is a bit lame. If they are running all the way out to Roans Prarie anyway, I'd go ahead and run farther out Hwy 30 to Carlos and pick up FM 244 South to FM 3090. FM 3090 is a great road. You could then run 3090 to the start of FM 149 and run 149 back to Anderson and pick up the original route.

:tab I am sure the route is already set though. :|

:tab Do you have a route planned for going home?

Yup. Lots of the guys here in Lufkin ride cruisers. (V-stars, Shadows, Roadstars, etc.) I usually ride with them till the first rest stop, then bust off on my own at higher speed and wait for them at the destination.

Sometimes my friend on the Honda Magna leaves me in the dust! My heavy 1100 boxer can't hang with his light 750 V-4. :)

I took your advise Scott and went through Carlos. 30 was boring, but nice because it was new to me. I'd never been that way. I don't think I had ever been to Anderson before.
