Does anyone know for certain whether the price shown at the link below is inclusive of the flat black trim panels? Or do I NEED to purchase the color matched inserts for the side cases? I know the top case requires the purchase of the other panel, but I had the same bags on my Versys and it came with flat black panels for the base price.

Suzuki sells the bags and inserts separately, and the text of that listing says "NOTE: Does not include color panel. To color-match, order two Side Case Cover Panels below" and "Don't forget to order your color matched inserts." That seems pretty clear to me.

Oneida Suzuki has the bags for $380, and the inserts for $84 a pair. That's quite a bit cheaper than the site you linked, at $456 + $105.

If you want the narrower Givi brackets, instead of the Suzuki brackets, this is the cheapest I found:

The bags come with a flat black plastic trim panel, so they'll look fine on a black bike. The colour panels are additional and look great matched to your bike. I have the red ones on mine, and re-badged Givi V35s to Suzuki so they look factory. Check out the pics on my blog at: http://kewwibike.blogspot.com/

I don't think that's right. The Givi branded bags come with an insert, and the price varies with the insert color. (matte black is cheaper) But there's a post on one of the Bandit forums from someone who bought the Suzuki bags and got no inserts at all, color matched or otherwise.
