There's a ton of really really good videos out there with what folks are creating with their dslr's in video mode. My jaw hits the floor when I see some of these...

Maybe I'll have to give it a try. I suppose if you broke it down, it's come up with a script, shoot a lot of the scenes, then use software to splice the clips together then overlay a music track.

And still have some talent on the shooting so it doesn't look like someone's home video...erm, my home video.

Definitely bought my 5DMK2 with the intentions of learning to put together entertaining videos with it. It's a whole new world of shooting, but I'm looking forward to dabbling there.

FYI, a good bit of the effect video on the SpeedTV series "Stealth Rider" is shot on DSLR in video mode. Rumor has it that Steven Spielberg is considering shooting an entire film with it. We shall see.

Several feature films have already had large segments filmed w/ the 5dmk2.

The season finale of House was all 5dmk2.

There's an entire industry revolving around cinematic accessories for HDSLRs now. It's pretty cool stuff. I'm tinkering with some ideas for a shoulder mount, LCD loupe, and a follow focus for mine. Even wrote an incredibly cheesy outline for a small web series (5eps, ~5min each) I intend to do with some friends when time permits.
