Where would you buy it from?
Looking for it local in Houston but no one sells it here that I can find. Now need to get it on-line.
7 x 4 GB memory cards of vacation photos need to be worked on.

Download from Adobe. You can use the trial for 30 days and order from Amazon. Just register with the license when the package arrives. Or purchase online from Adobe and download it immediately. It will probably be cheaper from Amazon or one of the online photo stores like B&H.

I was going to say "is awesome" as a response.
WB is correct though; you can buy direct from Adobe and download it from them or go through another retailer. Really the cost won't be any different anywhere, and unlike CS5 - LR3 ain't that much.

If you're a student or teacher (or a close family member is one) it's significantly cheaper as an academic discount.

$89 vs $299.
Honestly I don't even remember if I bought LR3 as a student or not. I definitely bought CS5 as a student.

Wish I had an educational person in my family who could buy me the Ed version.

Find an intern at work, kick in an extra $20 for their trouble. All you really need is someone with an .edu mail address.

Heck we hardly have full-time workers much less an intern. Heck I'm just happy to still have 2 folks reporting to me and not having to do their work also.
