This route will take you across the Carpenter's Bluff bridge into OK.

N on TX 5 to FM 121 in Van Alstyne
left of FM 2729
Right on TX 11 in Tom Beam
Left on TX 69

this part will take you a little out of the way but it is a better ride on the FM roads than the county roads
Right on FM 1897
Left on FM 1753 (Don't be fooled and take the right on 1753, go a little further and you will see 1753 on the left)
Right on FM 120 (the bridge will be a couple of miles down on your left, I am not sure of there is a road sign, but the road name is Carpenters Bluff Rd)

Now it gets fun because OK must have issues with road signs because there are none. Do not go into Hendrix, if you get there you have gone to far.

Follow the road after you cross the bridge and turn right on Kemp Rd, also called E2240. if i remember right, it is the first paved road on the right after crossing the bridge. follow Kemp Rd to the stop sign and go Left. On the map it is called Peanut Trail, but like I said I saw NO street signs in this part of OK

Follow Peanut trail until it dead ends into OK 78.
Go left on 78
go left on McKennon Rd
Go right (north) on 69/75
You cant miss the casino it is just up 69/75

As for going home, you can beat it down the superslab on 69/75, or get back to OK78 which becomes TX 78 and will bring you down through Wiley. We did 69/75S to FM 455 and then S on TX 5 back to Plano.

Here are some pictures I took last summer of the bridge.

Is this route one that I can tool along lazily at 50 -55? I don't like to press the old SL350 too hard for too long.

most of it is a lazy tooling along route. The speed limit on parts of tx 5 and tx 11 are posted higher, around 70 I believe so you may want to see if there is an alternate FM road you could take or just run the 350 a little harder in those parts. the 70 mph posted parts are not that long

and the 69/75 is posted at 70 in spots as well, but I am sure you could map out something to get around that.....

Here's a couple of maps going the back way up hwy 69 and on to Dennision. The road from the bridge to Dennision has some good curves and fun to ride.

last time up there we took carpenters bluff rd to the bridge. that road is kinda bumpy so that is why I went kind of out of the way and took 1753 to 120. I think from 1753 you will see carpenters bluff rd. 1753 to 120 is a lot nicer with some decent curves and a LOT less bumps
