Started out at something like 39, but I dressed for the cold, and when I hit the single track I heated up enough to vent! All I can is my BMW Rally suit is the shizzle!!!! :-)

Kinda odd, but in the middle of the desert, right off of an Arroyo, I find a side of beef. So I think. :-/

5 miles or so down the single track I over shot a berm and tagged a Cholla square on! :-)

Came upon on an abandoned cattle roundup area.

Complete with a frozen water trough, and it looked like this was a solid block of ice, maybe two feet thick! Yeah it gets cold in the mountains, but you get use to it!

What an awesome, day, rode from my garage, and rode 90% single track, love living in Northern NM, until next time!

must suck you have ride 10 minutes to get to the single track! nice pics! folks like you make me want a bike I can ride down the dirt once in a while....you are not nice..in a good way!

Makes me want to move to NM or CO even more than I already want to.

same here, but my wife hates the cold more than I hate traffic :lol2:
great pics :thumb:

Thanks guys, I feel pretty fortunate to live here in Northern NM. I grew up in North Central Texas, but left in 1989 for the Pacific Coast. Met my future wife in California, and then we moved to Phoenix AZ. My wife hates the cold as well, but she loves living in the southern Rockies and is so happy to be out of the traffic!

If life works out right (which rarely happens), I hope to produce some of my own pics from that part of the world in June next year. :zen: :thumb:

If you'd like for me to show you guys around just ping me, and we'll work something out! Plenty of great rides await you! :rider:

Oh, you know I will (already have). :thumb: :lol2:

I'm still in the planning stage of my trek so it'll all come down to logistics, finding something to keep momma busy while I'm playing on the trails and finding the funds for the trip (and the $ to get the bike ready).

I'll definitely keep in touch. :thumb:

Sweet... Although, I am not real wild about the cold...

Have you tried Cedro(sp?) peak yet? There's a group off a local jeep forum that's always out here...they start around 10am.

Running argument around this house is another jeep or two dirtbikes. :-D

Looks awesome! You are lucky to have that at your back door. I really need to get out to NM to do some off road riding!

That stuff looks absolutely awesome. Love it. Great bike for that trip.

That....is....awesome. I want to get in on some stuff like that. All if found around my area so far is graded gravel roads with a few spots that are fun.
