Bridget and I went downtown yesterday to take some photos. The photo below, from Calliope's spring 2011 campaign, served as my "inspiration." Clearly, I had to change things up a bit. The end results work for me.
Masha Novoselova by Peter Gehrke
From time to time I feel like I just need to run out and purchase studio strobes, a softbox or three, and a portable power source. Then I go shoot in evening sunlight and forget about such things, at least until the sun goes down. For this, I went with my Canon 5DMKII with a Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM lens attached. I had intended on shooting my last roll of C-41 film, and using my Pentax 67 with the 150mm f/2.8 lens attached, but the sun was falling fast and I hadn't loaded the film yet. For shame. I did take a few with my Mamiya C3 (80mm f/2.8) on Ilford HP5+, but I've not shot that full roll yet. When that is done, I will develop, scan, and post them.
And now the Bridget Scheiner by Anthony Martinez for the Save Me From Boredom Collection, January 2011.
