Howdy,
:tab Well once again Rossi makes the other guys on the track look painfully slow. In his haste to catch Biaggi, Rossi runs off the track but saves it, drops back to around 10th or so, then manages to catch the 2,3 and 4th place riders! He was about eight seconds back. These guys were riding hard trying to catch Biaggi. Yet, Rossi seems to pass the field at will like they are standing still, taking back two or three positions on each lap!! Then once he catches Gibernau, Tamada and Hayden, he smokes right on through them and sets off for Biaggi. By then Biaggi is simply to far ahead and Rossi can't close the gap, nor does he really pull away from the others. The mere fact that he could get so far behind and still catch up is just freaking amazing!
:tab Kudos to Hayden for riding an excellent race. I was really hoping he'd land a podium finish. He and Tamada were dicing it up real good. Edwards apparently did not finish? There was no mention of him retiring from the race but neither was he showing in the final results? Bayliss got screwed on the first lap. He was taken out in a multibike pile up but I can't recall who started it all.
:tab On a side note, it is really annoying that the broadcast guys don't run a banner across the top of the screen that shows what place all the riders are in. They always seem to show the top eight and then forget about the rest of the field. I can understand why the bottom of the field doesn't get any camera time, but I still would like to know how they are fairing and what their position is. Is this too much to ask?
:tab Hopefully, this win for Biaggi will light a fire under him and he'll really give Rossi a challenge for the remaining races!
