Just a word of caution.
I used to use the foam filter oil that you dumped in a bowl and saturated your oil filter and then rang. Mind you, this was back in the day that this was all that was available. Then I changed to the spray on kind as it was quick, easy, and not as thick and have been doing this for several years now. Well, long story short, I saw first hand that the aerosol kind is not that good at filtering out all dirt. I since changed back to the bowl method but using the new syn oils. The new syn oils are thinner and provide great filtration.
I am pretty certain that it is costing me more to do it this way but at least now I know that the engine is staying cleaner.
