:tab Here's an interesting article about a rear tire exploding under Ben Spies' Suzuki Superbike while testing tires at Daytona. He hit the pavement at 186 mph :eek:

Yep, I used to race against Spies in the CMRA a few years ago. That is one talented up-and-comer. I think he'll make GP in a few years. I was glad to see that he'll be okay.

Dunlop needs to get their proverbial shiite together. There were alot of problems in AMA Superbike last year due to Dunlop. Lessee, I remember Mladin suffering a rear tire explosion and almost saving it (he went down just as the bike was coming to a stop in gravel), multiple guys having to pit because of tires going off, spun tires, etc. It's sad when guys have to start worrying about tire failure instead of tire wear.
