That's looks very good. Puts my scratched up dirty wheels to shame. Sigh!

Do you mean you took the disks off the bike, or you took the disks off the carriers? Any complexities with separating the disks and carriers, if that's what you did?

Take wheel off.Undo those 5 Allen head bolts and take disk off wheel .Mark it so it goes back EXACTLY the same spot including bolts .Yes they are tight but not troublesome .The disk has to come off because you are taking the paint off both sides of the disk .Do the same to the other disk.
DONT get them mixed up (L and R )Take note which is inside and outside.
Polish the heads of the bolts .
Clean the wheel Or polish it or what ever you like .I resprayed the center of
mine (silver) just to tidy it up and gave the edge a hand buff .I polished the wheels
1 yr ago ,very easy job .No need to take tires off.
Put it all back together retention bolts 23mn .Make you mind up about
putting more blue "locktight "on or not (i didn't )
PUMP BRAKE LEVER and check everything .Then check AGAIN.
If in any doubt ,leave them black .The paint on my wheels was very ,very
thin nothing like the later Bandits .
Pump brake lever !!!!

Discs and carriers stay as one piece .No idea how you get them apart .
